Day 13 in my 10-pound weight loss journal. How Believing can help you reach your weight loss goals! (See the other day’s weight loss journal entries here.
Day 13: 114.4 pounds
Only 7 more pounds to go! I think I’m going to cut back to 1200-1400 calories for the next two weeks, just so I can hit that 10 pound mark. I plan to continue the weight loss journal and move into maintenance for two months.
You CAN reach any weight loss goal
One crucial aspect of my weight loss mindset that I underestimated is the belief that my goal was possible. I could achieve my weight loss goals.
I decided in 2020 that I was tired spending half my life trying to lose weight. My goal was impossible. This meant my body would have to be destroyed. I exercised and ate well for my entire life. But I struggled with my weight.
So, in December 2019, my husband and I said, “I’m going to give ONE THOUSAND percent to sticking with a diet for the next 6 months. If I stick to it 1000% and still can’t lose weight, I obviously have a “broken metabolism”, and I’m just going to schedule an appointment for liposuction.” Haha.
Turns out, if I give 1000% effort, then I can actually lose weight. I can also lose enough to put on a bikini.
Fast forward 2 1/2 years and the 10lbs I want to lose feels 100% possible. I know I can do it, because I’ve done it before. Because I was there this summer, I know what it feels like to be at that weight. Knowing I can get there makes the process so much less stressful, and I’m confident in both my diet, and my results.
Yesterday, I was eating less calories than usual. It was closer to 1400. The longer I’ve been not eating between meals, and prioritizing the protein, the less of an appetite I have. I’m not complaining, but I am saying it’s different for me to feel this way. Before I lost weight I felt like I wanted all the food, every day.
I was a vegetarian and I cooked my own meals.
Today was leg day and I ran 7 miles on my treadmill. Felt great. Lot’s of energy.
That’s it for today. Be back tomorrow!
