I was unaware of how much I would love Clean Simple Eats protein after I started this blog. After hearing so many people rave about it, I decided to try one of the flavored proteins. The problem quickly got out of hand. (Check out my top clean and simple recipes here
Despite my large collection of protein powders, I recommend starting with a vanilla powder (like Optimum Nutrition) and saving the CSE proteins for seasonal flavors.
The latest seasonal flavor IS PUMPKIN PIE PROTEIN!
Clean Simple Eats also sends you recipes to use their protein powder. So, when I purchased the Pumpkin protein, I also received a download for the Protein Pumpkin Pie Puppy Chow (also known by Muddy Buddies but that may be trademarked! Haha
I made two minor changes to the original recipe for Protein dog chow.
Instead of using their pumpkin butter, I used classic Almond Butter for the first swap.
Second, I used Sugar Free White Chocolat chips instead of regular white choc chips.
The results: TO DIE! Is it dramatic? It’s so delicious. It was so good that I had to divide it into 1 cup portions. This allows me to eat only one cup per day during my normal meal #3, which is my protein treat or bar.
